If we Palestinians are the actual descendants of the ancient Israelites and Judahites, as archaeology demonstrates, then Christian Zionists are committing genocide against the very people their prophecy concerns. They claim to bless the "children of Israel," but they are murdering them.

Subject: A Thousand Years of Theological Violence Against the Indigenous People of the Holy Land
Introduction
For over a thousand years, Christians have waged genocidal campaigns against the indigenous people of Palestine. It is a documented historical fact that extends from the rivers of blood that flowed through Jerusalem's streets in 1099, when Crusaders butchered every Palestinian they could find, to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, where Western Christian nations arm, fund, and diplomatically shield the wholesale massacre of Palestinian civilians. Christianity has been a driving force behind the systematic oppression, genocide of our people, and the systematic destruction of our civilization, as well as other indigenous communities across the world, including the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific.
This report documents the thousand-year genocide of Palestinians. It traces the theological roots that have motivated Christian aggression against Palestine, examines the mechanisms by which Christian powers facilitated the ethnic cleansing of our homeland, and exposes the contemporary Christian Zionist movement that continues to provide ideological and material support for our destruction. This report is written by Palestinians, for Palestinians, and for anyone willing to confront the truth about Christianity's war against our people.
We do not use the criminal colonizer's language. There is no "Palestinian question," that is Zionist terminology designed to frame our very existence as a problem requiring solution. There was no "British Mandate," there was British military occupation of our land. There is no "Israeli-Palestinian conflict," there is a genocide being perpetrated against us with the full support of Christian states including member states of the United Nations. We name things as they are.
The stakes could not be higher. As this is written, Palestinians in Gaza are being bombed, starved, and massacred while Christian Zionists in America celebrate and lobby for more weapons to be sent. The genocide is happening now, in real time, with full Christian complicity. Understanding the theological and historical roots of this complicity is not merely an academic exercise. It is essential for resistance.
Part One. The Crusades - Christianity's First Genocide Against Palestine (1095-1291)
The Massacre of Jerusalem (1099)
On July 15, 1099, Christian Crusaders destroyed the walls of Jerusalem and commenced one of the most horrific massacres in recorded history. Every Palestinian Muslim, Christian, and Jewish man, woman, and child they could find was slaughtered. The Crusaders themselves documented their atrocities with pride.
The anonymous author of the Gesta Francorum, an eyewitness participant, recorded: "Our men entered the city, chasing the Saracens and killing them up to Solomon's Temple, where there was such a slaughter that our men were wading up to their ankles in enemy blood."
Raymond of Aguilers, chaplain to Count Raymond IV of Toulouse, boasted: "Men rode in blood up to their knees and bridle reins. Indeed, it was a just and splendid judgment of God that this place should be filled with the blood of the unbelievers."
Fulcher of Chartres documented: "Within this Temple, about ten thousand were beheaded. If you had been there, your feet would have been stained up to the ankles with the blood of the slain. What more shall I tell? Not one of them was allowed to live. They did not spare the women and children."
The Jewish population of Jerusalem was herded into the main synagogue and burned alive. Ibn al-Qalanisi, the Damascus chronicler, recorded this atrocity, which Latin sources confirm. Estimates of total deaths range from 40,000 to 70,000 - the population of Jerusalem had swelled with refugees fleeing the Crusader advance, and nearly all were killed.
This was genocide. The Crusaders made no distinction between combatants and civilians, between men and women and children. Their explicit goal was the extermination of the Palestinian population of Jerusalem and its replacement with European settlers. They called it purification. We the indigenous people of the land call it what it is: the first European genocide against Palestine.
Pope Urban II: Architect of Genocide
The massacre of Jerusalem did not happen spontaneously. It was planned, blessed, and commanded by the highest authority in Western Christianity, the Pope himself.
In November 1095, Pope Urban II delivered a sermon at the Council of Clermont that launched the First Crusade. He called Palestinians "a despised and base race" unworthy of controlling their own Holy Land. He promised that anyone who killed "Muslims" in this holy war would receive complete forgiveness of sins. In Christian theology, a guaranteed ticket to heaven. Murder became not merely permissible but praiseworthy. Genocide became a sacrament.
Urban II created the theological framework that would justify Christian genocide against Palestine for the next millennium
The Holy Land belongs to Europeans by divine right. The actual inhabitants, our ancestors, had no rights to their own land.
Palestinians are subhuman. Their lives had no value. Killing them was not murder but purification.
Violence against the Palestinians is blessed by God. Those who killed Palestinians were promised spiritual rewards.
Christian settlers should replace the indigenous Palestinian population. The Crusader states that followed implemented exactly this policy.
This is the same framework that would later justify the Zionist terrorism in Palestine, with full Evangelical Christian support. The continuation is theological.
Two Centuries of Christian Colonial Rule
The Crusaders established four colonial states in the Levant: the Kingdom of Jerusalem, the County of Tripoli, the Principality of Antioch, and the County of Edessa.
1. Kingdom of Jerusalem (1099–1291)
Palestine (Jerusalem, Gaza, Hebron, Nablus, Jaffa, Acre, Bethlehem, Ramla, coastal plain, Galilee, parts of the Jordan Valley)
Lebanon (small southern portions)
This was the largest and most important European colony, centered on Jerusalem, Acre, and the Palestinian coast.
2. County of Tripoli (1102–1289)
Lebanon (Tripoli, Byblos, Batroun)
Syria (Tartus region)
This was essentially the Lebanese coast, with a bit of Syrian coastline.
3. Principality of Antioch (1098–1268)
Turkey (Antakya/Hatay region)
Syria (Idlib and surrounding areas)
Antioch itself is now Antakya in southern Turkey, near the Syrian border.
4. County of Edessa (1098–1144)
Turkey (Şanlıurfa/Urfa)
Syria (northern parts near the Euphrates)
This was the easternmost European state, deep inland, far from the Mediterranean.
For nearly two centuries, Christian European colonizers ruled over an indigenous population through violence and terror.
The European Crusader states implemented systematic discrimination against the indigenous population. Palestinians (Christians, Muslims and Jews) were legally inferior to Europeans. They were subject to special taxes, excluded from positions of power, and confined to specific areas. This was colonial oppression implemented centuries before European colonization of the Americas and Africa but employing the same logic of racial and religious supremacy.
When Saladin reconquered Jerusalem in 1187, he did not massacre the European population as the Crusaders had massacred the Palestinians. He allowed Europeans to ransom themselves and leave peacefully. The contrast between Islamic mercy and Christian genocide could not be starker. Yet Western history books present the Crusaders as heroes and Saladin's campaign as aggression.
The final Crusader stronghold, Acre, fell in 1291. But the dream of Christian reconquest of our Holy Land never died. It transformed over centuries, taking new forms, but the core conviction remained. Palestine belongs to European Christians (and later, to European Jews as understood through Christian theology), and its indigenous Palestinian population has no right to exist there.
Part Two. Christian Zionism - Theology of the Palestinian Genocide (16th-20th Centuries)
The Protestant Invention of Zionism
The idea of removing Palestinians from our land and replacing us with "European Jews" did not originate with Theodor Herzl or the Zionist movement. It was invented by Protestant Christians centuries earlier, as part of their apocalyptic theology.
Following the Protestant Reformation, English Puritans developed a theological framework that predicted and required "Jewish restoration to Palestine" as a precursor to the Second Coming of Christ.
Note the word: "restoration" as if Europeans had some ownership of our land that needed restoring, erasing the presence of Palestinians who had lived there continuously for millennia.
Thomas Brightman's Apocalypsis Apocalypseos (1609) argued that biblical prophecy required "Jews to return to Palestine" before Christ could return. Joseph Mede's Clavis Apocalyptica (1627) systematized this interpretation. By the mid-17th century, this belief had become widespread among English Puritans and would later spread to American Protestantism.
In January 1649, nearly 250 years before Herzl's Der Judenstaat, Johanna and Ebenezer Cartwright petitioned the English government to transport European Jews to Palestine:
That this Nation of England, with the inhabitants of the Netherlands, shall be the first and the readiest to transport Israel's sons and daughters on their ships to the land promised to their forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for an everlasting inheritance.
These European Christians did not care about European Jews as human beings. They viewed them as pawns in their apocalyptic drama. According to their theology, once "Jews were restored to Palestine," they would either convert to Christianity or be destroyed in the final battle of Armageddon. This instrumental view of European Jews, valuing them only for their eschatological role, continues in Christian Zionism today, encouraging them to leave Europe and the Americans to take part in what they see as the divinely sanctioned Palestinian genocide.
Even Isaac Newton, the celebrated scientist, devoted extensive writings to predicting "Jewish return to Palestine," calculating that Jerusalem would be rebuilt in the late 19th century and the Temple restored in the 20th or 21st century. His prophetic manuscripts, held today in the National Library of the criminal "State of Israel", demonstrate how deeply this ideology penetrated European intellectual culture.
"A Land Without a People." Christian Genocide of Palestinians
The phrase "a land without a people for a people without a land" has been attributed to various 19th-century Christian Zionists. Regardless of its precise origin, it encapsulates the Christian Zionist view of Palestine - we did not exist. Our presence was and is still invisible in their eyes. Our civilization, our cities, our farms, our families, none of it registered in the Christian imagination.
This genocide is theologically necessary for European Christians. If Palestine had a people, us, then the Christian plan to give it to European Jews would constitute dispossession and ethnic cleansing. By defining us out of existence, European Christians could pursue their apocalyptic project with clean consciences.
Lord Shaftesbury (Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl) was one of the most influential 19th-century British Christian Zionists. He was a devout Evangelical Christian who believed he was doing God's work by facilitating the colonization of our homeland. His Christianity was not incidental to his Zionism. It was the source of it.
Shaftesbury actively lobbied the British government to facilitate European colonization of Palestine. At his urging, Christian Britain established a consulate in Jerusalem in 1838, the first European diplomatic presence in Palestine. The consul's instructions included extending British protection to Europeans, preparing the ground for the colonization that would follow.
Shaftesbury wrote in his diary in 1840:
The Turkish Empire is in rapid decay; every nation is grasping at a crumb ready to fall... Greater Syria and Palestine will be without a ruler indigenous or adopted... The soil and climate are admirably suited to Jewish requirements.
Note: "without a ruler indigenous," as if we did not exist, as if the Ottoman administration and centuries of continuous Palestinian habitation were nothing.
This genocide narrative, repeated endlessly by Christian Zionists, was not confined to Britain. American Christians were equally committed to our disappearance.
William Blackstone's 1891 Memorial to President Harrison, signed by over 400 prominent American Christians including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, J.P. Morgan, and John D. Rockefeller, asked:
Why shall not the powers which under the treaty of Berlin, in 1878, gave Bulgaria to the Bulgarians and Servia to the Servians now give Palestine back to the Jews?
No mention of Palestinians. We had been written out of existence. The most powerful Christians in America, the men who controlled the nation's courts and its wealth, signed a petition that treated our homeland as empty and available. This was Christian America joining Christian Britain in the project of our genocide, decades before the criminal state was even established.
The "Balfour Declaration." Christian Power Executes the Plan
The "Balfour Declaration" of November 2, 1917, promised British support for "a national home for the European Jewish people" in Palestine. It was the culmination of centuries of Christian Zionist theology, executed by Christian politicians who believed they were fulfilling biblical prophecy.
Arthur Balfour was a British politician and a Scottish Evangelical Christian, raised in a tradition saturated with Zionist expectation. David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister, was a Welsh Baptist with the same theological commitments, whose Sunday school education had convinced him that the Bible's promises belonged to Europeans, not to the indigenous Palestinian population who actually lived there. Both men believed sincerely that they were fulfilling God's plan by giving our homeland to Europeans. This was Christian theology using British imperial power to execute a religious project.
Lloyd George later admitted that the biblical place names in war dispatches from Palestine were more familiar to him than French place names from the Western Front. He had learned them in Sunday school.
Balfour wrote explicitly that:
Zionism, be it right or wrong, good or bad, is rooted in age-long traditions, in present needs, in future hopes, of far profounder import than the desires and prejudices of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit that ancient land.
Read that again: the "desires and prejudices" of 700,000 Palestinians - 90% of the population - were explicitly dismissed as less important than Christian eschatological fantasy. This was theology determining policy. And the policy was our ethnic cleansing in our very own home.
The Declaration's safeguard clause about "civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine" was deliberately meaningless.
Note: "non-Jewish communities" - we were defined not by who we are but by who we are not. And "civil and religious rights" explicitly excluded political rights, the right to self-determination, to not be colonized, to not have our home given away to others.
British colonial officials knew exactly what they were doing. The first British commission to investigate unrest in Palestine, the Palin Commission of 1920, identified the Balfour Declaration as "the starting point of the whole trouble." But the ethnic cleansing proceeded anyway, blessed by Christian theology and implemented by Christian power.
Part Three. The Nakba - Christian-Enabled Genocide (1947-1949)
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine
What Palestinians call al-Nakba, the Catastrophe, was a genocide and the culmination of the Christian Zionist project. In 1947-1949, approximately 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes by Zionist militias using European arms. Over 500 Palestinian villages were destroyed. This was not the unfortunate byproduct of war. This was systematic ethnic cleansing, planned and executed to create a European Jewish majority state on Palestinian land.
For decades, the State of "Israel's" majority Eastern European elites pushed propaganda which claimed that Palestinians left voluntarily, following orders from "Arab" leaders to evacuate temporarily. This was always a lie, and "Israeli" historians using declassified archives have now proven it.
Benny Morris, an "Israeli" historian of the criminal Zionist state, documented systematic Zionist atrocities:
Massacres, rape, psychological warfare, artillery bombardment of civilian areas, and direct expulsion orders.
The criminal entity's own military intelligence report from 1948 identified "European Jewish [Haganah/IDF] operations" as the primary cause of Palestinian displacement, followed by "European Jewish dissident operations" (Irgun and Lehi terrorism), and "operations of dissidents." "Arab" evacuation orders ranked last and were confined to specific areas.
The Deir Yassin massacre of April 9, 1948, exemplified Zionist terrorism tactics. Irgun and Lehi forces attacked the village near Jerusalem, killing over 100 men, women, and children. Bodies were mutilated. Survivors and later perpetrators reported rapes. The massacre was not hidden but publicized. Its purpose was to terrorize other Palestinians into fleeing their homes.
In July 1948, David Ben-Gurion personally ordered the expulsion of approximately 50,000 Palestinians from Lydda and Ramle. Yitzhak Rabin, who participated as a young officer, described it as one of the "hardest" experiences of the war. Thousands of refugees died of dehydration and exhaustion during forced marches in summer heat.
UN mediator Count Folke Bernadotte reported:
It would be an offence against the principles of elemental justice if these innocent victims of the conflict were denied the right to return to their homes while Jewish immigrants flow into Palestine.
Weeks later, Bernadotte was assassinated by Zionist terrorists. His killers were never prosecuted.
Christian Complicity
The Nakba would not have been possible without Christian support. Christian Britain had created the conditions for Zionist colonization through three decades of military occupation. British Christian soldiers armed and trained the Haganah while suppressing Palestinian resistance with bullets and hangings. When Christian Britain finally withdrew, exhausted by the cost of maintaining its occupation, it handed the problem to the United Nations, where Christian-majority nations voted to partition our home, giving over half of Palestine to a European minority that owned less than 7% of the land. This was the execution of a plan that Christians had been developing for three centuries.
Christian America supported the partition plan and pressured other nations to vote for it. President Harry Truman, himself a Baptist, was lobbied intensively by both Zionist organizations and Christian Zionist clergy who believed the establishment of "Israel" would hasten Christ's return. Truman overruled his own State Department, which warned that partition would lead to catastrophe. He chose Christian eschatology over catastrophe and genocide of our people.
The Christian world then looked away as 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes. Christian governments imposed no sanctions against the the apartheid regime. Christian nations sent no peacekeepers to protect Palestinian civilians. Christian courts prosecuted no war criminals. The genocide proceeded with full Christian complicity, because it fulfilled Christian theological expectations. What Christians had been praying for since the 17th century.
From the Cartwright petition in 1649 to the Balfour Declaration in 1917 to the UN partition vote in 1947 to the bombs falling on Gaza today, the line is unbroken. Christian theology created Zionism. Christian power enabled it. Christian money funds it. Christian votes protect it. The Nakba was not a Jewish project that Christians happened to support. It was a Christian project that Jews were recruited to execute.
But to fully understand the depth of this deception, we must examine a question that challenges the very foundation of Zionist claims: Who are these European "Jews" that Christian theology blessed as the inheritors of Palestine? The answer reveals how Christianity constructed a mythology of "return" for a population with no ancestral connection to our land, while erasing the indigenous people who actually descend from the ancient inhabitants.
Part Four. The Khazar Question and Christianity's Role in the Great Deception
The Khazars. A People Who Chose Judaism to Escape Christianity
To understand why Christianity blessed the colonization of Palestine by Europeans, we must first understand who those Europeans were and how they came to call themselves "Jews."
The Khazars were a Turkic people who built a powerful empire in the steppes between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, in what is now southern Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. From approximately 650 to 969 CE, the Khazar Khaganate controlled the major trade routes between Europe and Asia. They were originally Tengrist, worshipping the sky god of the Central Asian steppes.
The Khazars faced an existential problem. To the west, the Byzantine Christian Empire was expanding. The Byzantines did not merely conquer, they converted. To accept Christianity meant submitting to the religious authority of Constantinople, becoming a vassal state within the Christian imperial order. To the south and east, the Islamic Caliphate was expanding with the same pattern, conquest followed by conversion and integration into the Islamic political system.
The Khazar leadership chose a third path. Between 740 and 920 CE, the Khazar ruling elite converted to Judaism. This was a political masterstroke. Judaism, unlike Christianity and Islam at that time, was not an imperial religion. There was no Jewish empire demanding their submission. By adopting Judaism, the Khazars could resist absorption by either Christian Byzantium or the Islamic Caliphate while maintaining their political independence.
Historical sources document this conversion extensively. The Khazar Correspondence, a series of letters between Hasdai ibn Shaprut (a Jewish minister in Cordoba) and the Khazar king Joseph, describes how the Khazars chose Judaism after a debate between representatives of the three religions. Arab geographers including al-Masudi and Ibn Fadlan wrote about the Khazar Jewish state. The Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogennetos mentioned them. This is documented history.
But here is what most accounts conveniently omit. The Khazars were never monolithically Jewish. The conversion was primarily an elite phenomenon. The Chronicle of Nestor, the primary source for early Russian history compiled in the 11th century, records a Christian bishopric among the Khazars, evidence that significant portions of the Khazar population were followers of Christianity. Ibn al-Faqih, writing in the 10th century, documents Muslim Khazar communities along the Volga River. Archaeological evidence confirms this diversity. Excavations of Khazar burial sites show a mixture of practices. Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Tengrist elements appear in different graves, sometimes in the same cemeteries.
When the Khazar empire collapsed in the late 10th and early 11th centuries, destroyed by the Kievan Rus and later finished by the Mongols, these mixed populations migrated westward into Eastern Europe. The Jewish Khazars, those who had "adopted Judaism," settled in what would become Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Hungary, and Germany. Over centuries, they developed their own language (Yiddish, a Germanic language with Hebrew vocabulary), their own culture, and their own traditions.
These are the Ashkenazi Jews. They comprise the majority of world Jewry today. They are the ones who arrived in Palestine as colonizers, refused to live among the indigenous population as equals, and instead chose supremacy and separation. They are the ones who built an apartheid state on our land, who have been committing genocide against our people for over a century, who murder our children and violate our daughters, who starve our families and bomb our homes. They came from Poland and Ukraine and Germany, and they claim our homeland as theirs while committing genocide to erase us from existence.
The Genetic Evidence
In 2013, Dr. Eran Elhaik, a geneticist then at Johns Hopkins University, published a landmark study in Genome Biology and Evolution. The paper, titled "The Missing Link of Jewish European Ancestry: Contrasting the Rhineland and the Khazarian Hypotheses," used sophisticated genetic analysis to trace Ashkenazi origins.
Elhaik's methodology was rigorous. He analyzed genetic markers from Ashkenazi Jews and compared them to populations across Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus region. If Ashkenazi Jews descended primarily from ancient Judeans who were expelled by the Romans and migrated through the Rhineland to Eastern Europe (the traditional "Rhineland hypothesis"), their genetic signatures should cluster with Middle Eastern populations. If they descended primarily from Khazar converts (the "Khazarian hypothesis"), their genetic signatures should cluster with Caucasus populations.
Elhaik's results pointed toward the Caucasus, not the Middle East. The genetic signatures of Ashkenazi Jews showed strong connections to populations from the area of the former Khazar empire, modern Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and southern Russia. The Rhineland hypothesis, according to his data, could not explain the genetic diversity of Ashkenazi populations.
The study provoked furious opposition. Other geneticists challenged his methodology and conclusions. Papers were published claiming to refute his findings. The debate continues in scientific journals. But we should not be surprised by the intensity of opposition. The implications of Elhaik's research are explosive. If Ashkenazi Jews are primarily descended from Khazar converts rather than ancient Judeans, then the entire basis of Zionist claims to Palestine, the assertion of ancestral connection, collapses.
Let us be clear about what the science shows
There is legitimate scientific debate about the proportion of Khazar versus Middle Eastern ancestry in Ashkenazi populations. What there is no debate about is that Ashkenazi Jews are a European population. They lived in Europe for over a thousand years. They developed European culture, spoke European languages, and participated in European history. Whatever their exact genetic composition, they are Europeans. They are not Palestinians. Regardless of the exact Khazar contribution to Ashkenazi ancestry, what is undeniable is that Ashkenazi Jews are a European population who developed in Europe over a millennium.
Christianity's Role in the Deception
Here is where Christianity becomes central to the story. The Khazars converted to Judaism to escape absorption by the Christian empire. The Khazar Jews migrated into Christian Europe after their empire fell. And centuries later, it was Christian theology that blessed their descendants' colonization of Palestine as a "return."
The irony is staggering. The Khazars fled Christianity by adopting Judaism. Christianity then spent centuries persecuting their descendants as "Christ-killers," driving them from country to country, confining them to ghettos, massacring them in pogroms. And finally, Christianity decided to solve "the Jewish problem" by shipping them to Palestine and calling it "restoration."
Christian Zionism never asked whether these European Jews had any actual connection to Palestine. The question was theologically irrelevant. In the Christian eschatological framework, "Jews" needed to be in Palestine for Christ to return. It did not matter if those Jews were descended from ancient Judeans or from Turkic converts. What mattered was the label: "Jew." As long as they called themselves Jews, they could fulfill the prophetic role.
This is why Christian Zionists, from the 17th century English Puritans to 21st century American Evangelicals, have been so enthusiastic about "Jewish return to Palestine." They do not care about Jews as people. They care about Jews as prophetic props. The European Jews who are colonizing Palestine are, in Christian eyes, simply playing their assigned role in the divine drama, whether or not they had any ancestral connection to the stage on which they were performing.
But there was another population that Christian theology had to address. Us. The Palestinians. We had lived in Palestine continuously for over five millennia. We were the actual descendants of the ancient populations, including the ancient Israelites and Judahites who, as archaeology has proven, were themselves indigenous Canaanites who never came from anywhere else.
Christianity solved this problem by making us invisible. The phrase "a land without a people for a people without a land" is not just a political slogan. It was and still is a theological necessity. If Palestine had a people, then giving it to European Jews would be theft and ethnic cleansing. By defining us out of existence, Christianity could maintain its righteous narrative. The "return" could proceed. The prophecy could be fulfilled. And the genocide of an invisible people would trouble no Christian conscience.
Part Five. The Two Lies Christian Zionism Tells
Christian Zionism tells two lies about Palestine that work together to justify our genocide.
The first lie is about the past.
Christianity promotes the biblical narrative that the ancient Israelites invaded Canaan from Egypt, committed genocide against the Canaanites, and replaced them as the population of the land. This narrative was written down between 600 and 400 BCE, over a thousand years after the supposed events, by Judahite elites seeking to legitimize their territorial claims.
The conquest narrative of Joshua is contradicted by every major archaeological study of the past fifty years. Finkelstein and Silberman's The Bible Unearthed (2001), Dever's Who Were the Early Israelites? (2003), and Thompson's The Mythic Past (1999) unanimously conclude that the Israelites emerged from indigenous Canaanite populations. This is the consensus of biblical archaeology. - Bajis Hasanat Abu Mu'ailiq
Archaeological evidence flatly contradicts this narrative. There is no evidence of a sudden population replacement in the Late Bronze Age. The material culture of the Israelites, the pottery, the architecture, the burial practices, the language, shows continuous evolution from Canaanite culture. There is no destruction layer corresponding to the "conquest." There are no Egyptian records of a massive slave exodus. The "conquest" never happened.
What actually occurred is that during the collapse of Bronze Age civilization around 1200 BCE, highland populations in Palestine, who had always been there, reorganized themselves politically and eventually developed a distinct "Israelite" identity. The Israelites were Canaanites. They did not come from somewhere else. They did not replace anyone. They were the indigenous population of the central Palestinian highlands who, over centuries, developed the ethnic and religious identity that would become Judaism.
This matters because we, the Palestinians, are the descendants of those same Canaanite populations. We never left. We never went anywhere. Our ancestors were not replaced. They remained on the land, farming the same terraces, living in the same villages, for five thousand years. Over the centuries they changed religions, from Canaanite polytheism to Judaism to Christianity to Islam, but they remained on the land. Over the centuries they changed languages, from Canaanite Hebrew to Aramaic to Arabic, but they remained on the land.
We are the indigenous people of Palestine. We are the ones with genuine descent from the ancient populations, including those who called themselves Israelites and Judahites. The colonizers who came from Poland and Ukraine and Germany in the 19th and 20th centuries have no such connection.
The second lie is about the present.
Christianity presents the European colonization of Palestine as a "return," as if the colonizers were coming home rather than invading someone else's home. Christian heads of state frame the Zionist project as a civilizational or religious mandate to justify violations of international law. This lie requires erasing our existence. If we exist, if we have been here continuously for millennia, if we are the actual descendants of the ancient populations, then the European colonizers are not "returning" to anything. They are stealing our land and calling the theft a homecoming.
This narrative of "return" only works if the living Indigenous people of the land are pushed out of the frame—if our history is severed, our existence denied, and our identity stolen and rewritten to serve someone else’s mythology. Christian theology depends on transforming us into foreigners on our own soil so that Europe can recast its genocide in Palestine as redemption. Our villages, dialects, terraces, churches and mosques, family names, and agricultural systems all document continuous presence and continuity. The myth of "return" collapses the moment our existence is acknowledged, because it exposes the project for what it is: a systematic genocide.
The scale of the lie
The Christian Zionist project of the "State of Israel" is implemented through coordinated state, military, corporate, and diplomatic systems that structure the removal and the deliberate killing of the Indigenous people of the Holy Land. American, European and other Christian state governments supply weapons, legal cover, and political recognition to their Eastern European counterparts in Occupied Palestine. Their corporation's profit from hijacking of the biblical narrative, surveillance and spy technologies, settlement construction, resource extraction, and military contracts. Their heads of state frame the project as a civilizational or religious mandate to justify violations of international law. Settlement expansion, population transfer, land confiscation orders, home demolitions, and the fragmentation of Palestinian territory into isolated caged and walled enclaves and ghettoes are all documented mechanisms used to replace an Indigenous population with a foreign one. These are components of a unified program whose objective is theft and demographic re-engineering. When these facts are acknowledged, the narrative of “return” cannot stand, because the historical record shows a modern apparatus of dispossession, not a homecoming, but a deliberate system of genocide carried out through political, economic, and military power.
Both lies serve the same purpose.
To justify our genocide. The first lie severs us from our ancestors by claiming the Canaanites were replaced by foreign invaders and vanished. The second lie replaces us with European colonizers by claiming they have more right to our land than we do. Together, they create a theological framework in which our destruction is not merely acceptable but divinely ordained.
This is European and American Christianity's role in the great deception. European Christianity did not merely support Zionism. European Christianity invented the theological framework that made Zionism possible. European and American Christianity tell lies about the past that seek to sever us from our ancestors. They tell lies about the present that justify the ongoing genocide of Palestinians and indigenous peoples across the globe, and our replacement by European settlers. European and American Christianity bless the Palestinian genocide and call it "restoration."
The Khazar question matters not because genetics determine rights-they do not-but because it exposes the absurdity of the Zionist claim. Europeans whose ancestors converted to Judaism in the steppes of Central Asia arrived in Palestine and claimed it as their ancestral homeland. They had no connection to Palestine. Their ancestors had never lived there. They still speak European languages, maintain European culture, and look European. They forced themselves onto our land illegally and remain there through violence. But European and American Christianity blessed their arrival as "return" because Christian theology required "Jews" to be in Palestine, regardless of whether those particular Jews had any actual connection to the land.
Meanwhile, we, the actual indigenous population, the actual descendants of the people who have lived in Palestine for four thousand years, are being ethnically cleansed from our homeland. And Christianity calls it "prophecy fulfilled."
Here is the final irony that exposes Christian Zionism as theological self-sabotage.
If we Palestinians are the actual descendants of the ancient Israelites and Judahites, as archaeology demonstrates, then Christian Zionists are committing genocide against the very people their prophecy concerns. They claim to support "the Jews" returning to the Holy Land, but they are murdering the actual descendants of the biblical Judahites while importing European converts to replace them. Their prophecy requires the "children of Israel" to be in the land. We are those children. We never left. And they are exterminating us.
This is not prophecy fulfilled. This is anti-prophecy. Christian Zionists have inverted their own theology. They have become the enemies of the very biblical narrative they claim to champion. If their God promised the land to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then they are waging war against God's chosen by slaughtering the Palestinians who actually descend from those ancient populations. They have replaced the "children of Israel" with European imposters and call the replacement "restoration." They are committing genocide against the people of the Bible and call it "prophecy."
By their own theological standards, Christian Zionists are not hastening Christ's return. They are working against it. They are not blessing the seed of Abraham. They are cursing it. They are not gathering "Israel." They are scattering it into mass graves. If there is any truth to their eschatological framework, they are the agents of anti-prophecy, working to undo what their own scriptures declare. And when they stand before the God they claim to serve, they will have to explain why they blessed the genocide of His people while celebrating their killers as His chosen.
Part Six. The Cross as Symbol of Palestinian Oppression
They Stole Our Messiah and Made Him European
Jesus of Nazareth was a Palestinian. He was born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, and lived his entire life in the land known as Palestine for thousands of years. He spoke Aramaic, the language of our ancestors. He looked like us, dark-skinned, dark-eyed, dark-haired, a Semitic man indistinguishable from the Palestinian peasants among whom he lived and taught.
The earliest depictions of Jesus reflect this reality. The Dura-Europos synagogue frescoes from the 3rd century show him as a dark-skinned, short-haired Semitic man. The catacombs of Rome contain similar early images. Jesus was depicted as he actually appeared: one of us.
But as Christianity moved from the persecuted faith of Middle Eastern and North African communities to the official religion of the European Roman Empire, Jesus was transformed. Constantine's adoption of Christianity in the 4th century began a systematic Europeanization of Christ. Byzantine icons increasingly depicted him with lighter skin. European features replaced Semitic ones. The short dark hair of a Galilean peasant became the long flowing locks of a European aristocrat.
By the Medieval period, this transformation was complete. The Jesus of European art was fully European, often blonde, always light-skinned, sometimes with blue eyes. He was made to look like the people who worshipped him in Rome, in Paris, in London, rather than like the people who lived in the land where he was born.
This was theft. Christianity stole our Messiah and made him one of them. They took a Palestinian prophet and erased every trace of his Palestinian identity. They made him European so that Europe could claim ownership of him, and through him, ownership of the land where he lived.
Think about what this means. Every European church for a thousand years displayed images of a European Jesus. Every European Christian child grew up seeing Jesus as someone who looked like them, not like us. The visual erasure of Jesus's Palestinian identity was complete and total. When European Christians thought about the Holy Land, they did not imagine it as a place populated by people who looked like Jesus. They imagined it as European property temporarily occupied by dark-skinned foreigners.
This visual erasure preceded and enabled the genocide committed by the Crusades. When the Crusaders arrived in Palestine in 1099, they did not see Jesus in the faces of Palestinian Christians. They saw enemies to be slaughtered. The people who actually lived in Jesus's homeland, who worshipped at the sites of his ministry, who spoke languages descended from his Aramaic, were invisible to them. The Europeanized Jesus had prepared European Christians to view Palestinians as obstacles rather than as the living connection to Christ's own community.
The Cross: From Symbol of Suffering to Tool of Oppression
The cross is Christianity's central symbol. It represents the suffering and death of Jesus, executed by the Roman Empire for challenging its authority. In its original meaning, the cross is a symbol of solidarity with the oppressed, a reminder that Jesus stood with the poor and the marginalized against the powerful.
But in European Christian hands, the cross became something else entirely. It became a symbol of conquest, a banner under which armies marched to subjugate and slaughter.
The Crusaders sewed crosses onto their garments. The red cross on white background became the symbol of holy war against us. When they waded through the blood of 70,000 Palestinians in Jerusalem in 1099, they did so under the sign of the cross. The instrument of Jesus's execution became the instrument of our execution.
This was not a perversion of Christianity's meaning. It was a revelation of what European Christianity had become. A religion that began as the faith of the oppressed had transformed into the faith of the oppressors. A symbol that represented solidarity with victims had become a symbol brandished by perpetrators.
The cross never recovered its original meaning in European Christianity's relationship with Palestine. The Crusader states that ruled over us for two centuries did so under the cross. The British soldiers who suppressed our resistance in the 1930s wore crosses. The American bombs that fall on Gaza today are manufactured by a nation that calls itself Christian and displays crosses on its currency, in its legislatures, and in its president's rhetoric.
When Palestinians see the cross, we do not see the same symbol that Western Christians see. We see the symbol sewn onto the tunics of men who waded through our ancestors' blood. We see the symbol carried by colonial administrators who are stealing our homeland. We see the symbol invoked by preachers who call for our extermination.
This is what Christianity has done to its own central symbol. It has taken the cross, which should represent solidarity with the suffering, and made it a tool of our suffering, and many others across the globe.
The Bombing of Saint Porphyrius: Christianity Destroying Its Own Origins
On October 19, 2023, the criminal entity's military forces bombed the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza City. The compound was clearly marked as a church. It was being used as a shelter for civilians, including many Palestinian Christians who had fled their homes seeking sanctuary in a house of God.
Eighteen people were killed. Many more were injured. The ancient church, which dates to the 5th century and is one of the oldest functioning churches in the world, suffered severe damage. Families who had sought refuge there were crushed under rubble.
Saint Porphyrius is named for a bishop of Gaza who lived in the 4th and 5th centuries. The church has stood on that spot for over 1,600 years. It has survived the Persian invasion, the Arab conquest, the Crusades, the Mamluk period, the Ottoman centuries, the British occupation, and the Nakba. For 1,600 years, Palestinian Christians have worshipped there. It is a direct physical connection to the earliest centuries of Christianity.
And American Evangelical Christians blessed its bombing.
Consider what this means. The oldest continuous Christian community in the world, in the very land where Christianity began, was attacked. Christians were killed while seeking sanctuary in a church. A building that has stood since the time of the Church Fathers, since before any church existed in northern Europe, was bombed. And the Christians of America, the Christians who claim to love Jesus, the Christians who send money to "support Israel," celebrated.
CUFI did not condemn the bombing of Saint Porphyrius. John Hagee did not weep for the Palestinian Christians killed there. The Evangelical megachurches did not hold vigils for their brothers and sisters in Christ who died under the rubble. There was silence at best, and celebration at worst.
This is the ultimate exposure of what Christian Zionism really is. It is not love for Jesus. It is not concern for the Holy Land. It is a death cult that requires our destruction, and "our" includes Palestinian Christians. The Evangelical obsession with biblical prophecy overrides any actual concern for Christians living in the land of Christ. Palestinian Christians are acceptable casualties in the eschatological drama. Our churches can be bombed, our people can be killed, and American Evangelicals will continue to lobby for more weapons to kill more of us.
The cross that hangs in American Evangelical churches is stained with the blood of the Christians of Saint Porphyrius. The cross that decorates their bumper stickers blessed the bombs that fell on Gaza's oldest church. The cross has become what it was for the Crusaders. A symbol of the war to exterminate us.
And now there is another stolen symbol flying over our genocide. The hexagram on the flag of the criminal entity.
What Zionists call the "Star of David" was never an exclusively Jewish symbol. For centuries across the Middle East, it was known as Khatam Sulayman, the Seal of Solomon, a decorative motif used by Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike. It adorned Ottoman mosques, Moroccan palaces, and churches throughout the Levant. It was a regional symbol belonging to no single religion, part of the shared visual heritage of our part of the world.
European Zionism appropriated the hexagram in the 19th century, transforming a common geometric pattern into an exclusively "Jewish" symbol to manufacture a visual identity for their colonial project. The Nazis then weaponized it, forcing the European Jews to wear it as a badge of shame. After the Holocaust, Zionism "reclaimed" it as the centerpiece of their flag. The same flag that now flies over the rubble of Gaza, over the checkpoints and walls that cage us, over the settlements built on our stolen land.
Just as European Christianity stole the cross and turned it into a banner of death and destruction against us, European Zionism stole Khatam Sulayman and made it the emblem of our genocide. Both thefts follow the same pattern. Take something that belonged to the region, claim exclusive ownership, and use it to justify our extermination. The cross and the hexagram now fly together over our destruction, two stolen symbols, one genocide.
Palestinian Christians. We Are Christianity's Living Roots
We must understand who Palestinian Christians are and why we matter to the story of Christianity.
Palestinian Christians are not converts to a foreign religion. We are the descendants of the first Christians. Our ancestors were the people who heard Jesus preach, who witnessed his miracles, who followed his teaching while he was alive. The first church was Palestinian. The first bishops were Palestinian. The first theologians were Palestinian. For the first three centuries of Christianity, before it spread to Europe, it was a Middle Eastern religion practiced by people who looked like us and lived where we live.
The churches of Palestine, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Gaza, are not outposts of European Christianity in a foreign land. They are Christianity's homeland. They are where it all began. Every Christian church in Rome, in Constantinople, in Paris, in London, in New York, is a daughter church of the churches of Palestine.
When European Christianity attacks Palestinian Christianity, it is attacking its own mother. When American bombs destroy Palestinian churches, they are destroying the very sites where Christianity was born. When Evangelical Christians celebrate our deaths, they are celebrating the death of people whose ancestors taught their ancestors about Christ.
We are the living roots of Christianity. Our liturgies preserve ancient traditions. Our church buildings stand on sites of biblical significance. Our families have maintained the faith in the land of Jesus for two thousand years, through persecution and hardship, while Christianity flourished and then faded in Europe, while Christianity came and went in various forms across the world, we remained.
And now the Christians of America are helping to destroy us.
This is not merely hypocrisy. It is something darker. European Christianity has never been comfortable with the existence of Palestinian Christianity. We are a reminder that Jesus was not European. We are a reminder that Christianity did not begin in Europe. Our very existence challenges the European ownership of Christ that European Christianity has claimed for over a millennium.
Perhaps this is why American Evangelicals do not mourn when we die. Perhaps this is why they do not protest when our churches are bombed. Perhaps, at some level they would never acknowledge, they want us gone. They want the inconvenient witnesses eliminated. They want the living reminder of Christianity's true origins erased.
If so, they are the heirs of the Crusaders who massacred Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem in 1099. They are the heirs of those who could not distinguish between Palestinians regardless of religion. The cross they wave is the same cross that was sewn onto the tunics of our butchers. The genocide continues.
Part Seven. Christians United for "Israel" - The Modern Genocide Lobby in 2026
The Evangelical War Machine
Today, the most powerful "State of Israel" lobby in the United States is not the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). It is "Christians United for Israel "(CUFI), an organization that most Americans have never heard of despite its enormous influence over American foreign policy.
CUFI was founded in 2006 by John Hagee, an American televangelist who commands one of the largest Evangelical empires in the United States. CUFI claims over 10 million members. To put that number in perspective, the total Jewish population of the United States is approximately 7 million. CUFI alone has more members than the entire American Jewish community. When you add other Christian Zionist organizations, the imbalance becomes even more stark. The political muscle behind American support for "Israel" is overwhelmingly Christian, not Jewish.
These are not Christians who happen to support "Israel" for political or strategic reasons. These are Christians who support "Israel" because they believe they are commanded by God to do so.
They cite Genesis 12:3, God's promise to Abraham:
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.
In their interpretation, this verse means that America will be blessed by God if it supports "Israel" and cursed if it does not. Voting against "Israel" is, in their theology, voting against God.
This is religious extremism and supremacy. This is the transformation of American foreign policy into an instrument of apocalyptic Christianity. And it is murdering us.
John Hagee. The Prophet of Genocide
To understand CUFI, you must understand the man who created it.
John Hagee is the senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, a megachurch with over 22,000 active members. He is s Christian Zionist that broadcasts to millions through his television ministry, preaching that supporting aggression and genocide against our people is a religious duty for Christians. He has built a personal fortune estimated in the tens of millions of dollars by prophesying war and apocalypse. He believes that the establishment of the "State of Israel" in 1948 through genocide, destruction, and theft of our civilization was the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. He believes that the expansion of the criminal entity's territory is divinely mandated.
Hagee is a political kingmaker who shapes American foreign policy. American presidents court him. "Israeli" prime ministers embrace him. He has addressed AIPAC, and when Hagee speaks, Republican politicians listen, because his organization can mobilize millions of voters and donors. This American preacher, who has never lived in Palestine, who knows nothing of our suffering, who would not recognize a Palestinian if he saw one, has more influence over American policy toward our homeland than any Palestinian voice.
Hagee's theology is explicitly genocidal. This is not an accusation. This is documentation of what the man himself has said and written.
In his book Jerusalem Countdown, first published in 2006 and repeatedly updated, Hagee argues that Iran must be attacked to precipitate the battle of Armageddon. He believes that a regional war in the Middle East, potentially involving nuclear weapons, is necessary to bring about Christ's return. He sees the destruction that such a war would cause not as a tragedy to be avoided but as a prophetic necessity to be hastened.
Hagee has suggested that the Holocaust was divinely permitted to drive European Jews to Palestine.
In a 2008 sermon, he said:
God sent a hunter. A hunter is someone who comes with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter.
In Hagee's theology, Hitler was an instrument of God's plan, massacring Europeans Jews so that the survivors would have no choice but to emigrate to Palestine and fulfill prophecy. The Holocaust, in this view, was not a crime against humanity but a divinely ordained population transfer.
This is not some fringe theology but has become mainstream American Evangelicalism. Hagee's views represent a significant portion of American Christianity. His organization has more members than the entire American Jewish population. His influence reaches into the White House, Congress, and the Pentagon.
When Hagee looks at Gaza, he does not see our children being bombed and sniped in the head and genitals. He sees prophecy being fulfilled. When he sees Palestinian families starving, he sees obstacles to the Messiah's return being removed. When he sees our villages and cities destroyed by the criminal Zionist military, he sees preparation for the Kingdom of God. Our deaths are, in his theology, a feature, not a bug.
The CUFI Network. How American Christians Fund and Sponsor the Palestinian Genocide
CUFI operates through multiple channels. Its primary function is political lobbying. CUFI Action Fund mobilizes Evangelical voters to contact their congressional representatives, demanding unconditional support for "Israel." When members of Congress consider conditioning military aid on human rights compliance, CUFI floods their offices with calls and emails. When the Biden (#GenocideJoe) administration considered pausing weapons shipments after particularly egregious massacres, CUFI led the charge against any restraint.
CUFI also raises money. Millions of dollars flow through Christian Zionist organizations to fund settler activities in the "West Bank," to support "Israeli" military families, to finance the infrastructure of our dispossession. American Christians who put money in the offering plate on Sunday are, often unknowingly, funding the Palestinian Genocide and theft of their land.
Beyond direct political action, CUFI shapes the worldview of American Evangelicals. The organization holds an annual summit in Washington, D.C., where thousands of Christian Zionists gather to hear speakers praise "Israel" and call for aggression against the indigenous population resisting its genocide. At the 2023 summit, held just months before the intensified genocide in Gaza, speakers explicitly called for the destruction of Palestine in apocalyptic terms.
At the 2024 summit, after nearly a year of genocide in Gaza, there was no remorse. There were no calls for mercy. There were prayers for "total victory" and "complete destruction of the enemies of Israel." The word "Palestinian" was rarely spoken except as a synonym for "terrorist." Our humanity was erased completely. We were enemies of God to be eliminated.
By the 2025 summit, even the pretense of restraint had disappeared. Attendees openly prayed for the genocide of Gaza to continue. "Victory and destruction" were explicitly requested in prayers. Genesis 12:3 was invoked as divine mandate for our extermination. This is what American Christianity has become: a death cult praying for our annihilation.
"Remember What Amalek Did to You": Biblical Incitement to Genocide
On October 28, 2023, just weeks after military operations in Gaza intensified, the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity publicly declared: "Remember what Amalek did to you."
The Amalek invocation is significant because it represents explicit biblical instruction for genocide - not metaphorical destruction but literal extermination of "men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys." When the Prime Minister of "Israel" invokes this passage while ordering military operations, and when soldiers repeat it while demolishing Palestinian homes, this constitutes direct evidence of genocidal intent as defined by the 1948 Genocide Convention.
This is a command for total extermination. Not merely military defeat, but the killing of every man, woman, child, and infant. Even the animals are to be destroyed. Nothing is to be left alive. This is genocide in its most absolute form.
When the Prime Minister invoked this passage at the beginning of the Gaza operation, he was sending a message that his soldiers understood. On November 3, 2023, the same phrase, "Remember what Amalek did to you," appeared in an official letter from the Prime Minister's Office distributed to soldiers and commanders. This was instruction.
South Africa's legal team at the International Court of Justice identified this precisely. In their application for provisional measures against "Israel," filed in December 2023, they cited the Amalek invocations as direct evidence of genocidal intent. The South African lawyers understood what the soldiers understood: the Prime Minister was commanding genocide.
The Defense Minister reinforced this message. On October 9, 2023, he announced a "complete siege" of Gaza, stating:
We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly. No electricity. No food. No fuel. No water.
The entire population of Gaza, over two million people, was to be starved and bombed until nothing remained.
This language diffused through the ranks. Soldiers filmed themselves chanting about destroying "the seed of Amalek" while demolishing Palestinian homes after raping and murdering the women and children inside. They sang songs about erasing Gaza. They posted videos on American social media platforms celebrating the death of Palestinian children. The genocidal intent was not hidden. It was celebrated.
The results speak in numbers too large to comprehend. Approximately 85,000 tonnes of bombs were dropped on Gaza in the first year of the intensified genocide, as reported on November 2024 by the Palestinian Environmental Quality Authority. That is 191 tons per square kilometer. The total explosive force is estimated at 4.6 times that of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan in 1945 by the American military. Over 80 percent of Gaza's civilian infrastructure was destroyed. Universities, hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, apartment buildings - everything that makes civilization possible was systematically demolished.
The death toll exceeds 70,000 Palestinians, including more than 20,000 children. Over 10,000 more lie buried under rubble, uncounted and unrecovered due to restrictions made by the Zionist entity on the entry of heavy machinery. The injury toll runs into the hundreds of thousands. The displacement is total with the entire population of Gaza forced from their homes multiple times. This is not warfare. This is genocide and extermination of Palestinian society.
And Christian Zionists celebrated. They lobbied against any restraint on "Israeli" military operations. They demanded that America veto every ceasefire resolution at the United Nations. They sent money to support the soldiers doing the killing and the raping of our women and children. They prayed for victory, meaning our death. They are complicit in genocide.
The International Criminal Court received over 1,200 submissions alleging "Israeli" war crimes since October 2023. In May 2024, the ICC Prosecutor applied for arrest warrants against "Israeli" leaders. In September 2025, the United Nations Commission of Inquiry concluded definitively that "Israel" has committed genocide in Gaza, citing senior official rhetoric, including Amalek invocations, as evidence of genocidal intent.
Article II of the 1948 Convention defines genocide as acts "committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group." The Amalek invocations, the "human animals" rhetoric, and the systematic starvation siege constitute documented evidence of this intent.
The genocide has been officially recognized. The evidence is undeniable. The intent is documented. And Christian Zionists continue to lobby for it to continue.
Christian Zionist Theology. Why They Need Us to Disappear
To understand why CUFI and other Christian Zionist organizations are so committed to our destruction, we must understand their theology. It is not merely political alliance. It is religious conviction that our existence is an obstacle to the return of Jesus Christ.
Christian Zionism is a form of dispensationalist premillennialism. In this theological system, God has divided history into distinct periods called "dispensations," and we are currently in the final dispensation before Christ's return. The key to unlocking Christ's return is events in Palestine.
According to this theology, several things must happen before Jesus can return. First, Jews must be "gathered" in Palestine. This has happened, Christian Zionists believe, with the establishment of the "State of Israel." Second, Jews must control all of the land promised to Abraham, which they interpret as including not just current "State of Israel" but also the "West Bank," Gaza, southern Lebanon, parts of Syria, and territory stretching to the Euphrates River in Iraq. Third, the Temple must be rebuilt in Jerusalem. Fourth, a great war must occur, centered on "Israel." Finally, "Jesus will return to defeat the enemies of Israel and establish his Kingdom."
Notice what is missing from this framework: us. Palestinians are not part of the prophetic plan. We are obstacles to it. The land must be "cleansed" of non-Jews for the prophecy to be fulfilled. The "West Bank" must be annexed. Gaza must be emptied. Our existence is theologically inconvenient.
This is why Christian Zionists support settlement expansion. Over 750,000 settlers now occupy Palestinian land in the "West Bank" and East Jerusalem, in violation of international law. Every new settlement is, in Christian Zionist eyes, a step toward fulfilling prophecy. Every Palestinian family expelled from their home is an obstacle removed.
This is why Christian Zionists support the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Jerusalem. In their theology, Jerusalem must be entirely under Jewish control for the Temple to be rebuilt. Palestinian Christians and Muslims in Jerusalem are obstacles to be removed.
This is why Christian Zionists oppose any Palestinian state. A Palestinian state would mean that part of the "promised land" was controlled by non-Jews. This is theologically unacceptable. Our very existence as a people with political rights contradicts their reading of the Bible.
And this is why Christian Zionists support genocide in Gaza. Two million Palestinians in Gaza are two million obstacles to prophecy. If they are killed or expelled, the prophetic drama moves forward. Their deaths are not a tragedy in Christian Zionist eyes. Their deaths are necessary.
The same genocidal theology that motivated the Crusaders who waded through Palestinian blood in Jerusalem in 1099 - killing 70,000 of our ancestors—now fuels the Christian Zionists who celebrate the 70,000 Palestinians murdered between 2023 and 2025. The theological framework has evolved over nine centuries, but the target remains unchanged: the indigenous people of Palestine. The continuation of this terror is not coincidental. It is theological. From the Crusader cross to the CUFI summit, the line is unbroken.
Blood on Christian Hands. The Documentation
The bombs falling on Gaza are American bombs. The planes dropping them are American planes. The funding comes from American taxpayers, $3.8 billion annually in military aid. And the political support that makes this possible comes substantially from American Evangelical Christians who believe they are serving God by supporting the massacre of Palestinian children and babies.
The evidence is documented
The United States repeatedly vetoed Security Council ceasefire resolutions, on December 8, 2023, and February 20, 2024, blocking measures that could have protected Palestinian civilians. Washington accelerated weapons transfers, including emergency procedures to bypass congressional review.
The United Kingdom provided real-time aerial reconnaissance over Gaza beginning in December 2023, with RAF surveillance flights from Cyprus. Intelligence was shared with "Israel" as needed.
Germany approved a massive increase in arms export licenses to "Israel" in 2023. Chancellor Olaf Scholz traveled to Occupied Palestine in October 2023 to personally underline military-political backing.
France's Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin ordered a nationwide ban on pro-Palestinian demonstrations in October 2023, criminalizing political expression at the very moment public pressure could have saved lives.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen delivered strong solidarity messages in Occupied Palestine on October 13, 2023, messages that dozens of EU staff publicly criticized as "unconditional" support for ongoing mass atrocities and crimes against humanity.
These are Christian-majority governments, led by leaders shaped by Christian civilization, providing the weapons, intelligence, diplomatic cover, and political support that enabled genocide. The January 26, 2024 ICJ order finding a plausible risk of genocide put every state on notice. They continued anyway.
Meanwhile, the corporations that provide weapons and targeting technology, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Palantir, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and others are headquartered in Christian-majority nations and operate with the blessing of Christian-influenced governments. Our scientists, professors, journalists, doctors, and engineers are being assassinated by AI-led weapons systems developed by these corporations. Palestinian social media influencers, celebrities, and athletes have been specifically hunted down using precision technologies.
Every Palestinian child and baby killed by an American bomb is killed with Christian complicity. Every Palestinian family expelled from their home is expelled with Christian blessing. Every settlement built on stolen Palestinian land is built with Christian lobbying.
The International Court of Justice found that genocide is plausibly occurring in Gaza. The UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in September 2025 that genocide has been committed. Christian Zionists do not care. They celebrate. They lobby for more weapons. They pray for Palestinian destruction.
This is what Christian love for the Holy Land looks like: Palestinian corpses. This is what Christian theology produces: genocide. This is the fruit of a thousand years of Christian engagement with Palestine: our destruction.
Part Eight. Palestinian Christian Witness Against Christian Zionism
Our Own Christians Condemn Them
It must be noted that Palestinian Christians, the descendants of the earliest Christian communities, whose presence in the Holy Land predates European Christianity by centuries, unanimously reject Christian Zionism as a heretical distortion of the Gospel.
The Kairos Palestine Document of 2009, authored by Palestinian Christian leaders including Patriarch Michel Sabbah, states unequivocally:
We also declare that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land is a sin against God and humanity because it deprives the Palestinians of their basic human rights... We declare that any use of the Bible to legitimize or support political options and positions that are based upon injustice, imposed by one person on another, or by one people on another, transform religion into human ideology and strip the Word of God of its holiness, its universality and truth.
On Christian Zionism specifically, the document declares:
We see it as a dangerous distortion of the Gospel that turns the loving God into a God of war.
The Palestinian Christian community that has maintained the faith in the Holy Land since the time of Christ, before European Christianity existed, testifies that Christian Zionism is blasphemy. The churches built on the actual sites of Jesus's ministry reject the theology that would destroy their congregations.
When "Israel" bombed the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza in October 2023, killing Christians who had sought sanctuary there, it was blessed by American Evangelicals. The oldest continuous Christian community in the world, in the very land where Christianity began, is being destroyed with the support of Christians in America.
Contemporary Voices of Palestinian Christian Witness
Palestinian Christian leaders have spoken with prophetic clarity against this genocide.
On Christmas Eve 2023, Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem delivered his now-famous "Christ in the Rubble" sermon, declaring:
If you are looking for Jesus this Christmas, he is not here... He is under the rubble in Gaza."
His words echoed around the world, a Palestinian Christian pastor speaking truth to the Western churches that had abandoned his people.
That same Christmas, Bethlehem Lutheran Church displayed a nativity scene showing the infant Jesus lying not in a manger but in the rubble of a bombed building, surrounded by concrete and destruction. This image, the Christ child born into the genocide his people are experiencing, confronted Western Christians with the reality their theology was producing. The message was clear, if Jesus were born today in Palestine, he would be born into the very catastrophe that Christian Zionism has blessed.
The World Council of Churches, representing over 500 million Christians worldwide, has repeatedly condemned the violence against Palestinians and called for an immediate ceasefire.
In December 2023, the WCC General Secretary stated:
The continued bombardment of Gaza and the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding there constitute grave violations of international humanitarian law.
Yet these global Christian voices are drowned out by the political and financial power of American Evangelical Zionism.
True Christianity Rejects Genocide
We do not claim that all Christianity is complicit in our genocide. Many Christians around the world have stood with Palestinian rights. Many have recognized Christian Zionism as the perversion it is. Many have followed the example of Christ, who sided with the oppressed against the powerful.
The National Council of Churches USA has rejected Christian Zionism. Many mainline Protestant denominations have passed divestment resolutions targeting companies profiting from the occupation. Catholic teaching has never endorsed the theological premises of dispensationalist Zionism. Liberation theologians have provided some of the sharpest critiques of Christian Zionist ideology.
But these voices are drowned out by the political and financial power of Evangelical Zionism. When 10 million CUFI members contact their congressional representatives, it matters. When Palestinian Christians testify, nobody listens.
The struggle within Christianity over Palestine reflects a fundamental question. Is Christianity a religion that blesses the powerful and sanctifies genocide, or is it a religion that stands with the oppressed and demands justice? The answer will determine whether Christianity remains complicit in our destruction or becomes an ally in our liberation.
Conclusion
A Note on Dissenting Voices
Academic integrity requires acknowledging that opposition to Christian Zionism exists within multiple communities. Not all Christians support the genocide of Palestinians. Not all Jews support Zionism. Not all citizens of the criminal entity endorse the actions of their government.
Within Judaism, organizations such as Jewish Voice for Peace, IfNotNow, and the ultra-Orthodox Neturei Karta have condemned Zionism on both ethical and theological grounds. Neturei Karta explicitly argues that Zionism violates Jewish religious law by attempting to establish a Jewish state before the Messiah's coming. Jewish Voice for Peace has been at the forefront of solidarity movements with Palestinians in the United States, often facing persecution from Zionist organizations for their stance.
Within Christianity, as documented above, Palestinian Christians, liberation theologians, the World Council of Churches, and many mainline Protestant denominations have rejected Christian Zionism. The Catholic Church has never endorsed dispensationalist theology. Quaker, Mennonite, and other peace church traditions have consistently opposed the violence.
Even within the occupying population, organizations such as B'Tselem, Breaking the Silence, and Rabbis for Human Rights have documented and opposed the occupation and genocide. These dissenting voices, though often marginalized and persecuted, demonstrate that the genocide is not inevitable but is the result of specific political and theological choices.
Our report is directed at institutional Christianity, particularly American Evangelical Christianity and the Christian Zionist movement, that has provided the theological justification, political support, and financial resources for our genocide. The existence of dissenting voices within these traditions makes the complicity of the majority all the more damning. They cannot claim ignorance. The truth has been spoken yet they have chosen to ignore it.
The Economic Dimension of Christian Zionism
The genocide of Palestinians is not only theological but also deeply profitable. Christian Zionist organizations raise hundreds of millions of dollars annually, much of which flows directly to the apparatus of our dispossession.
CUFI, through its various fundraising arms, channels millions to settler organizations, "Israeli" military charities, and political lobbying. The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, founded by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein and now led by his daughter, has raised over $1.8 billion since its founding, much of it from American Evangelicals. Birthright Israel, which brings young diaspora Jews to Occupied Palestine for indoctrination trips, receives significant Christian Zionist funding.
The arms industry profits enormously from the genocide. Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, General Dynamics, and other defense contractors, all headquartered in Christian-majority nations, supply the bombs, missiles, and aircraft used to massacre Palestinians. Their stock prices rise with each escalation. Their shareholders profit from our deaths.
American technology corporations are equally implicated. Microsoft's Azure cloud services, Google's Project Nimbus, and Amazon Web Services provide the artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure used for surveillance, targeting, and the administration of apartheid. Our scientists, professors, journalists, and doctors are being assassinated using AI-led targeting systems developed by these corporations. The genocide is automated, and the automation is profitable.
Settlement construction is a multi-billion dollar industry. American and European corporations supply materials, equipment, and financing for the colonies built on our stolen land. Christian tourists visit these settlements, stay in their hotels, and shop in their stores, with their dollars financing our dispossession.
This economic dimension reveals that Christian Zionism is not merely theological delusion but also material interest. The genocide of Palestinians generates profit for American and European corporations, salaries for lobbyists, donations for megachurches, and political power for Christian Zionist leaders. Our deaths are a business model.
One Thousand Years of Terror Is Enough
For one thousand years, Christians have waged war against Palestine. They have massacred us, colonized us, erased us, bombed us, starved us. They have done this while praising God, certain of their righteousness, convinced that our destruction serves divine purpose.
For one thousand years, Christians have invaded our land.
For one thousand years, Christians have massacred our people.
For one thousand years, Christians have erased our existence.
For one thousand years, Christians have claimed our heritage.
For one thousand years is enough.
This must end.
We document this history not to inspire despair but to enable resistance. Understanding why Christians have targeted Palestine for a millennium helps us understand the forces arrayed against us today. Understanding Christian Zionist theology helps us counter its political power. Understanding that our enemy is not just the so called "State of Israel" but the Christian theological framework that created and sustains the Zionist entity helps us identify where pressure must be applied.
We call on Christians of conscience to examine their own tradition's complicity in our genocide. We call on them to reject the heresy of Christian Zionism that transforms the Gospel of love into a theology of ethnic cleansing. We call on them to stand with Palestinian Christians who have maintained the faith in the Holy Land since the time of Christ.
And we call on all people of justice to recognize what is happening in Palestine. Not a "conflict" between two equal parties, but a genocide perpetrated against an indigenous people by colonizers supported by Christian imperial power. This genocide has continued for over a century and is accelerating today. It will not end until the Christian world withdraws its support.
Let us state the final irony one more time, for it is the theological jujitsu that unmasks Christian Zionism on its own terms:
If we Palestinians are the actual descendants of the ancient Israelites and Judahites, as archaeology demonstrates, then Christian Zionists are committing genocide against the very people their prophecy concerns. They claim to bless the "children of Israel," but they are murdering them. They claim to prepare for the Messiah's return by gathering the descendants of Abraham, but they are scattering us into mass graves. They have replaced the actual descendants of the biblical populations with European converts and called the replacement "restoration." By their own theological standards, they are agents of anti-prophecy. When they stand before the God they claim to serve, they will have to explain why they blessed the genocide of His people while celebrating their killers as His chosen.
One thousand years of Christian genocide against Palestine is enough. It is time for it to end.
